Horror movies
Son, why do the people in these horror movies always try and play the hero. THAT NIGGA IS DEADDDDDDDDDD. Let him leave! Talking about he wants to split up! Let his ass go. If a nigga wanna kill me, he gonna have to find my ass first. I’m not gonna make it easy for him.
I'm so ready.
Scream mask ✓ Trench coat ✓ Camera ✓ All of makings of a hilarious night. You guys know I love to prank/scare people. Just wait until it gets dark.
badgirlswearchanel asked: it was better than the first one, but i don`t know how easily you get scared, so i can`t really tell you if it was worth the money or not. lol i personally didn`t flinch once, but that`s because i found it predictable.
Floridians are confused and the state does shit...
But it isn’t their fault though. I’d be hella confused if it was a day before November and its still 90 degrees outside. These people can’t tell the seasons apart! All the weathermen are liars, too. If you can’t tell, I really REALLY miss home.
House says the shit that no one has the courage...
I will always be a fan of the show. Most of the time he’s right, other times he’s partially right. Either way, you always know exactly what he’s thinking. Dude cuts straight to the point and adds extra salt. I love it.

I don't want to be famous.
My content with life will not depend on others recognizing who I am. I just want enough money to travel as often as I please. Enough money to put my kids through college. Enough to be able to help my grandparents in Jamaica. Enough to invest in a project that my heart is set on.These are not things that I want. I want to be able to follow every whim of my heart knowing good and well that I am not...
kbuggo asked: I saw your post on leaving Orlando. What part do you live in ? I'm here too =)
Comfy, clean and coordinated.
My three C’s of life. Being a brand whore doesn’t make me smart. Buying a Chanel purse or a LV belt is not helping me reach my goals. Sure we’ve all splurged on certain items that were near to our hearts, but our generation is focused on all the wrong shit. You give me a hoodie and some sweats or a some jeans and I will be fine. People come to school trying to show out for the...

Do not get butthurt over the truth. Be mad that you didn’t see it yourself. As a friend, I pride myself on being loyal and painfully honest. If we’re as cool as you say we are, you won’t up and stop talking to me because of one incident.Buck up, man.

Trying to find a Barack to my Michelle.
Or maybe he’ll find me. I forget what it’s called, but I learned in Psych last year that people with the same ideals, work ethics, interests, etc eventually float into the same social circles and are more likely to marry and start families together (sounds a lot like Life, no?) My professor would be mad that I forgot, but any who, there aren’t any young men around me like that...

Just to note ...
It is for those same reasons I don’t attend church now. I don’t want to de-sanctify what that holy place means to someone who really believes in God. I won’t go on Sunday and then be “un-holy” the other six days of the week like I see many “Christians” do. Everyone has a right to their preference of religion and I respect that.
Agnostic? Maybe.
Growing up, I was forced to attend an early Sunday morning service at my local Baptist church. The pastor was always too loud and too boisterous for me, maybe because I was always still half asleep. I stuck out to the children in Sunday school by not knowing any songs or scriptures. Church wasn’t a comfortable place for me. Writing has left me quite inquisitive. I find myself struggling with...
Some parents don't appreciate having good kids.
Including mine. They’re always saying how they’re happy I’m not as reckless as some of my other friends. Anything I do, I ask for permission and tell them what’s up. Some people don’t tell their parents anything. Maybe the problem is that I tell them too much. I’m only an adult when it is convenient for them, but not when it matters to me. SMH.
Funny how I never wanted a big family of my own,...
Not sure why I do this, but I do. Maybe because I’m always looking for names for my characters. So far I have Rosemarie (Rose as in Rosedale, Queens, my hometown and Marie as in my middle name that’s been passed down a couple generations), Brooklyn Marie (I was born in Brooklyn), and Caiden Marie(Has both Celtic and Arabic origins, meaning both fighter and companion). The boy’s...

I can’t go to the bodegas. I can’t buy chubbies and foot long popsicles. I can’t go chill and play handball in the park. I can’t go to block parties or watch boys drag race near Brookville Park. While I was in New York, it was home and I took advantage of it. I didn’t know I’d be moving, so I didn’t take in every sound and smell at their best. Now, miles...

Sneakers (They’re all I wear.)

I cut off my hair with the intention of growing it out to get Sisterlocks. Since then (May), I’ve texturized it, colored it, cut it all off AGAIN and now I’m trying to grow it again. My problem is not necessarily not having hair, I don’t mind the low cuts. I WANT MY HAIR TO GROW FASTER. I’m already impatient as is, but my hair brings forth a new feeling of urgency that I...

Naming a child is such a daunting task. A name is a label that the person carries their entire life. Oh, the pressure.
brooklynknight-deactivated20110 asked: Its about an african tribe in the 60's and how things changed when the christian missionaries came. But it has a side story about a man who hates to be weak etc. Its a really good book though.

Mama Africa
To say the least, I am beginning to question anything and everything pertaining to my African ancestry. The more questions I ask, the more I find out. The journey of self is one of much confusion, but I am finding it to be very rewarding. My next tattoo will be an Adinkra symbol.
